A run of a stack drawn as one unit: the strings of an orchestra, a choir, the two violin parts.

Things that are drawn one above another (Parts, line heads, LineGroups, sync lines) are ordered by STACKS_ABOVE edges (OmkGraph.add_stack); a StackGroup spans that order from its first member (STARTS_AT) to its last (ENDS_AT), as a slur spans a line, so its members are always contiguous, and groups nest. shape is how a notation system draws it (WSMN’s BracketShape: a bracket, a brace), if that has been said. Unlike a LineGroup, a StackGroup is not a timing origin and says nothing about who plays what.
